Set within an Estate of some 12,000 acres of rolling parkland, woods and farmland, the 17th century Castle & 18th century Courtyard can provide Conference Organisers with such a spectacular backdrop that the scope and diversity of events are only limited by their imagination.
The highly experienced and dedicated Conference and Banqueting Team will be delighted to assist in every aspect of your event. From the initial planning stage this professional team will advise and organise outside contractors for the provision of extra equipment, corporate hospitality, team building events and cuisine.
Your event co-ordinator will be on hand during the event to check that every detail has been covered and the schedule runs perfectly to plan, ensuring that your event is a total success for you and your delegates.
Dining and Banqueting
For over 400 years Lulworth Castle has played host to an impressive array of guests, with the original dining room having entertained no less than 7 monarchs. Surviving the disastrous fire in 1929, restoration work has returned the exterior to its original glory and consolidated the interior to provide a most remarkable venue retaining a wealth of history and revealing many stories about its past.
Today, the Castle's natural state with its open-plan interior makes it an ideal choice for those who are looking for a spectacular yet eminently practical and versatile venue for their conference, meeting, exhibition, festival, banquet and smaller private dinners.
By night the atmosphere is transformed, with the help of subtle lighting, into a veritable baronial dining hall. For all events, the catering is provided by outside contractors - the Banqueting Team retains a full list of nominated caterers. This highly professional team will also assist and advise you on every aspect and detail to ensure that your event has the greatest possible success.
All rooms have good natural lighting as well as floor level uplighters. The Saloon includes a fixed stage ideal for presentations, speeches or for your Top Table.
On the wide lawns to the rear of the Castle, with views towards the sea, dinner guests can enjoy, during the daytime and in the evening, pre-dinner drinks and canapés, often accompanied to live music. Some events, including car launches and where a much larger party can be accommodated, lend themselves to the use of marquees erected on the lawns adjacent to the Castle.
Alternatively, the charming and newly renovated 18th century Courtyard, located in the grounds of Lulworth Castle, is the perfect setting for smaller corporate functions, receptions, or for private event hire. This venue offers an all weather venue with versatile indoor and outdoor space including two multi purpose function rooms leading from the charming Courtyard, where pre-dinner drinks and canapés can be enjoyed. Marquees provide the perfect solution if more undercover space is required.
Hospitality and Team Building Events
The wide lawns and extensive park surrounding the Castle and Courtyard are more than spacious for delegate teams to enjoy Clay Pigeon and Laser Shooting as well as any other desired sporting event. An exhilarating 4-wheel Drive and Quad Bike course has been established in the nearby woods.
Further afield, the World Heritage Jurassic coastline, including Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door can offer many opportunities for delegates to experience the spectacular rock formations and subsequent erosion.

The daily delegate rate for the Courtyard including catering based on 50 or more delegates is £70 per person including vat. The Castle rates are available on application.
